Stefania Giarlotta was born in Catania, and studied in Rome and Milan, where she now lives and works, and where she developed her professional career in various newspaper editorial departments. For over a decade, she oversaw the art direction of La Repubblica’s DCasa, working on the design and production of photographic and illustrative materials. She designs logos,design and fashion catalogues and communication and campaign materials. She also creates music CDs, books and websites. She is attracted by the interaction between digital and craft work in its apparent contradictions. She loves colour unconditionally, and is convinced that no ugly colours exist, only sad combinations of colours. She is attentive to the spirit of her time, but believes that true beauty is ultimately timeless.
