INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER

Damiano Disperati was immediately set on artistic and humanistic subjects, obtaining an art diploma in 2008/09, with a specialization in Experimental Industrial Design, from the Napoleone Nani State Institute of Art. In 2011, he became assistant stone material restorer at the San Zeno school in Sant’Ambrogio di Valpolicella, near to Verona, completing several internships to gain experience with materials such as wood and stone. It is through these experiences that he rediscovered his passion for design, graduating with honours in Industrial Design at the Italian Design Institute in Perugia, attending there, in 2016, a specialization course in Interior Design. From 2016 to 2018, he collaborated with several companies, most recently the art ceramics company Rometti Ceramiche, working alongside the Artistic Director Jean Christophe Clair to create art and design ceramics for Ugo la Pietra, Roche-Bobois, Kenzo Takada and Chantall Thomas, among others. Damiano privileges an emotional form of design, in which the project becomes a vehicle for the emotions the designer wishes to inspire in the viewer. A design must have an identity, a characteristic personality, on an emotional level, that leads people to dialogue with it and, at the same time, arouses their curiosity and wonder.
